Here at Altamaha Canine Consulting LLC., We have partnered with some of the best Non-Profits in the region that devote their time and efforts to caring for people and their service dogs. The need for emotional support dogs as well as assistance dogs is becoming more and more needed everyday. Through these relationships as well as with our teams expertise of training task and working animals collaboratively for over 35 years, we are excited to launch our Service Dog Specialty Program. This program has been vetted by some of the best in the industry as well as beta tested and now is available.

We are currently able to help with the training of assistance dogs in the following areas:

Physical Disabilities


  • Paralysis
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Autism
  • Epilepsy (not seizure alert, assistance only)
  • Osteoporosis
  • Scoliosis
  • Asthma
  • Arthritis

Mental Disabilities

  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Mood disorders
  • Eating disorders
  • Neurocognitive disorders
  • Psychotic disorders
  • Substance Abuse disorders 

General information:

All service dogs are required to go through our Advanced Obedience Program prior to entering out Service Dog Specialty Program.  This program adds 8 weeks of Public Access training as well as Specialty Task determined by your needs, your dogs abilities and our trainers recommendations.


We do occasionally have dogs in our service dog programs that are for sale and we can help you with financing under the Services tab > Payment Plans.
